Final Major Project
Outside In is a Final Major Project I independently proposed, researched, contextualised and designed for my final of study year at University Centre Colchester.
The aim of this project was to bring the outside into the comfort of my own home. Through illustrating directly onto the wall I was able to design and illustrate a full-room sized mural. The purpose of this outcome was to visually raise awareness about the importance and significance of the local biodiversity in Sudbury, Suffolk. By introducing elements of local folklore, history, poetry and literature and juxtaposing that with accurate scientific fact I was able to create a rich and exciting final outcome.
Creating mural work is something I wish to pursue in the future and would be open to working for or with others to work on their ideas in the future.
